Oh Crikey....

There was a happening last night that made us upset but it did turn out OK in the end..

You will remember that we have told you about the little cat that we think could be a stray, although we are not sure.We have shown you pictures of the little one a few times. Mum puts food on the shed roof next door and it comes for it each day. They have to be careful because I do chase any cat that comes near away if I am in the yard with mum or dad so mum tends to put things out at night. The little kitty is sometimes near when mum goes out and  hears mum and mews and jumps up for the food while she is still there.Well on Saturday you know we had all that snow and mum hoped it was safe somewhere and put food out in a box.
Last evening mum went out earlier and put the food out, she thought she heard a meowing and shouted to come and get it. No sign of the kitty jumping up but yes she  could hear it somewhere. It sounded close by but not loud. Mum looked all in the yard and in the next yards and no sign. Then mum asked dad have you been in the garage today. No he hadn't.. Mum kept looking and then dad came out and said he was in there yesterday when he was clearing snow and mum was at work. Mum said quick get the key. You guessed it.. The kitty was in the garage and must have been in from lunch time on Saturday until early evening Sunday.Poor sweety. But thank goodness mum heard the meowing and could open the door. The little kitty came out jumped straight up on the shed roof and began eating as though its life depended on it. Mum got the camera and it did not move she could get close.
Look how close..
Thank goodness for a happy ending and thank goodness we didn't go away or anything..
Love and hugs to all
GJ xx

Poor little thing. We're glad she was found and released...and are glad your mum feeds her.

She and our stray, Toby...They both need good homes, the sweeties.

That little kitty came near to losing one of its nine lives. We are so happy that your Mum heard the meowing and opened the garage door so it could get out and eat it's supper.

Sweet thing. Perhaps with your bad weather it was a blessing in disguise that it was in the garage. We bet it enjoyed that meal!

The little fellow was at least safe and dry in the garage, though obviously hungry. But yes, it was good that you hadn't gone away at that time. He sure knew where the food would be when he got out!

Thank you to your Mum for feeding her. She went in the garage to get out of the snow and cold perhaps. Glad you found her.

I'm so glad your humans found the little kitty. It is really not right for her to be out in that type of weather, though - if she does have humans somewhere, they do not look out for her at all!

This reminds me of our story. years and years ago,
We once had a cat named Patches. She disappeared suddenly and was gone for two weeks. One day I could hear faint meows coming from a house down below us on the next street. After investigating we knew she was in the garage of someone who had apparently went on vacation. Luckily when we tried to open the garage door it opened just enough at the bottom for her to get out. It's been a mystery as to how she survived without water or food for that long of a time. We left a note on the garage door but never had a response.

I hope the kitty you feed will find a forever home.

I worry about a cat or dog getting in my garage. One day a friendly pup was out by my garage. I put him in the car to keep track of him while I backed out the car.

We're glad your mom heard the stray and let him out. I'm sure he was hungry and thirsty.

Our yard kitty got trapped in our garage once. Now she comes in and stays a couple of days when it is really cold and wet. Of course, mom feeds her and Dad provides her a sand box!

That poor baby! Seems no one loves it and all she has is your family to care. Your mum has a most generous heart to feed her. And even though she was scared and hungry and glad to get out of the garage, I bet she DID appreciate a safe warm place to sleep.

Thank goodness for happy endings.

What a beautiful little kitty. It's heartbreaking to think of what her life must be like with no home and no one special to love her. At least there was a happy ending this this time. Thank goodness for your wonderful mum. She may be giving the little one the only love and concern she's ever had. We will pray for the kitty to find her forever home.
