What a day.......

Last night before mum went to bed it was doing this.. Snowing fast and furious. Mum was hoping it would not do a lot more because she was up at 5:00 AM for work and was dreading what it would be  like.
It dropped several inches in a very short time. when mum got out to her car she had to dig it out and after a hair raising journey made it to work.
There were quite a few call outs and lots of people falling but with the help of a four wheeled drive vehicle and slip sliding around mum and her colleague managed all the calls. Now mum is staying on call for her friend because the friend did the double shift covering for some that could not make it in. So until 10:00 lets hope not many calls. It is then back up at 5:00 for tomorrows shift.
Me.. I am doing this...
The good news is that it is thawing almost as fast as it came. the bad news is that it is forecast rain so.. floods to come next..  what on earth is happening to the worlds weather..
we wont visit tonight but will catch up in the next couple days..
Love and hugs to all..
GJ x

PS mum was told by our friend Jan that I am featured in:  Mews Nooz again. Its a fabulous publication and if you want to hear about how I came to be in my forever home and see me as a kitten pop and see.. Its lovely....

Mowzers, we're so glad your mum is safe after all that! We wonder about the weather too - if the earth would just share some of that deluge of water you have with us parched folk over here...*sigh*!

How cool that you're featured over there! We'll run and take a look at GJ the Kit!

My mom says one good thing about being out of work is that she doesn't have to worry about that anymore! She drove in that for 26+ winters and it wasn't fun!!
Glad your Mum is safe and sound and glad it melted!

Mum is so sorry for your Mum GJ - she used to have to turn out in bad weather sometimes but not as often as your Mum. We hate the continual rain but at least you don't have to dig it to get out.

Your poor mum having to face the bad weather and treacherous roads. We hope she goes out with a team mate in case of problems on the way to the call. Snow and rain mixed can turn to nasty black ice in no time.

We went to look for the story about you but couldn't find it. We never tire of hearing the lovely story about how your mum got you. And baby kitty photos of you....squeeeeeee!
