Thankful for friends............

My very good friends over at Zoolatry made me a get well post on their friends Friday post. There are some of the many graphics on there that the ZH Ann has made for me over the last few years and it was lovely to see them again. take a look at them at Zoolatry Here Thank you so much I love the post you did for me. .My forever friends. I am so thankful for all my friends and for all their good wishes. Mum says it so helps her when she sees all the lovely comments and sees how many people care about me. Yesterday I ate a little stinky goodness and drank a little cat milk. Today nothing again. Mum just cooked me some lovely white fish fresh from the market and I wouldn't even look at it. No milk nothing. mum and dad just don't know what the heck to do for the best. Mum just said its like having an anorexic in the house. I am using the tray and mum marvels at that because with how much I eat its a wonder there is anything to come out. Is it higher up that's causing the problem. Mum just wishes she knew. we need Dr Doolittle here to talk to me and find out. thank you for staying with me my friends.. Love to all GJ xxx

GJ, we hope you get your appetite soon. Not to alarm your human,s but Mom has heard it is a bad thing for cats to not eat, that it can cause problems when they begin to eat again. What does your vet say? Luckily it does sound like you have been having some fod off and on.

GJ, what do we have to do to get you to eat? We thought Phantom was tough, but you are really quite the challenge. Let's give it a big try this weekend, OK?

We saw that beautiful post that the ZH and Zoey and Maggy did for you - they are such sweet friends.

We wil always be there for you GJ.

This may sound tricky but have you considered getting a second opinion, or, if you have one nearby, going to a really good veterinary school? Not all vets have the solution to all problems and sometimes it helps to cast the net little wider

GJ, we wish we could do something for you!! We know how worried your mum and dad are. We just hope you will eat a little more.

That sure was nice of them to do that. Do you think they might have to put in a feeding tube if you don't start to eat soon? That is what they had to do with my brother that had problems with his liver.

What a wonderful post picture. You are on my mind everyday GJ.. Love you and want you to feel like eating soon... It's hard to wait for the vet to figure out what's going on, so maybe eat just a little while you're waiting.

special pawhugs to you, Max

Actually, a second opinion might not be a bad idea at all.

We're glad your system still is moving, GJ, but you need to eat. Really. We wish we could wave a magic paw and make you better, but since we can't, we'll just continue to send our purrs and purrayers.

Oh darn GJ, we were hoping you might eat some more of that stinky goodness. We can't believe that you wouldn't eat that fresh fish. Come on GJ, now Mom is going out to get those silly donkeys to cross their paws for you. We all have our paws crossed and mom has everything on her body crossed including her eyes. So get busy and start eating.
Lots of huge hugs to Mom and Dad. We know this is hard on you. Just have to say a lot of prayers. They will work.

Darling, ask the vet for an appetite enhancing pill. He can give it to you. I have that as I am anorexic due to my idiopathic hyper calcimia. Please ask. You will eat and eat. I promise. If you want the name of what I take, please email me. It IS a prescription and a human med that increases appetites in kitties.

Oh precious Jasper, please try to eat! Do your very best. We need you to feel strong and healthy again. Did you try the canned salmon, mackrel or herring , the kind in the tall can? How about raw steak very finely ground. Or salmon in a can, drained lightly and mixed with cream cheese so it's nice and fluffy. We love you so much and feel so helpless. We are praying for you and your mum and dad.
We agree with the other posters that a second opinion or a specialist would be the best thing for you. Kisses and hugs. God bless you dear.

Hi Ginger... You have have to eat my friend, even if your mommy syringe feeds you, because if you don't your liver can fail... Actually, a cat that goes this long eating like you are eating (not) is in very serious risk of hepatic lipidosis, or fatty liver disease, and you avoid it by eating. The less you eat, the less hungry you will feel, and the more at risk you will be... Please, please... If it is through a syringe, a feeding tube... whatever... you have to get some food into yourself... pronto!
Sorry if I scare you, But I have been trying to post this for days and I keep getting blocked... A great food to syringe feed is Hills A/D - the is even a video of meowmy syringe-feeding Lucky on our bloggie... Here nobody goes more than a day without some sort of assisted feeding, per vet's order. Specially Bugsy and Lucky, as they have some meat on their bones, having more risk of getting HL.
If you were chubby once, be very very careful....
Here is some info on assisted feeding: www.assistfeed.com/FeedingTechniques.htm

We are still sending you rumbly purrs and love little fella. We wish you would eat more. We wondered if your Mum has tried you with a little bit of lambs liver. Liver can really perk up a cat's appetite. But you mustn't have too much as it is very rich. You can have it raw or gently cooked in a little butter so it stays soft.

GJ,

What a cute "get well" from Zoolatry.

And, "The Boys" and I are still among all the rest that are praying for and thinking of you each day.

You haven't mentioned it, but I do hope you are drinking water--even if you aren't getting much food in you.
