Wishing everyone a healthy and Happy 2017....

This past year has seen the loss of so many loved ones. Its going out with a bang too as our dear friend lost her fight on the 28th at just 54years old.  Linda was diagnosed with ovarian cancer this year and underwent lots of treatment. Just a short while ago she was given the words " its gone "and we celebrated with a party in our local. Joyous at the news. Just a few weeks later she was told its back and with a vengeance. we spent a few hours with her the day before we went away on holiday and all was positive with treatment and how it was going. We came home two weeks later on the 21st to find her in the hospice and very ill. Visiting  on the 23rd was so hard but we talked and shared a hug not realising it would be the last hug we did share. So I say to all live your life to the fullest possible and enjoy every minute as you never know round that next corner.

I know I don't blog as much as I would like but I think of my many blog friends all the time and the love, laughter and sorry we shared. So wishing everyone a blessed, happy and healthy 2017 with love to all. Carol, Barrie and Angel GJ xx

I am so, so sorry about your friend's passing. She was only a couple of years older than me, and far too young. My thoughts to all her friends and family.

You are right -- live each day to the fullest that you are able. Our time here is very short and safety and security are but illusions.

That said, I wish you and Barrie and your entire (large!) family a wonder-full, joy-full new year, filled with good health, laughter, love, prosperity and peace.

All the very best in 2017.

Our sincere condolences on the passing of your dear friend. Sometimes it's very hard to remember how blessed we are to be given each day.
We think of Jasper all the time and will always remember all the joy he brought us. He brightened many a difficult time for us with his beautiful, sweet face and endearing ways. He was a one-of -a-kind boy and he lives on in our hearts and the hearts of everyone who loves him. Happy New Year and all the best life has to offer in 2016.
All of our love , Kari and the Cats

I missed this entry, and am very sorry about Linda. I had a friend who died in 2015 under similar circumstances. She had lymphoma and, after a great deal of arduous treatment, she was told that it was gone. Then it came back, and there was nothing to be done. She was 55. I miss her, as I am sure your friend, Linda. Godspeed, Linda, and God bless all there.

I missed this Carol and Barrie and I am so sorry. I send my condolences on the passing of your dear friend.

I think of the two of you often, and that is true. I recall not only loving Ginger Jasper but seeing you two when the reenactments of WWII were about there..and the two of you joined looking so real for the time/era in your dress. I loved that. I have always been an aficionado of the history of the WWII era.
