A Barrie update.

I took Barrie yesterday and left him on the ward at 6:45 yesterday morning. I expected to hear around lunch time but at 1:30 no news. I called and was told he had just gone to theatre and to expect a call at tea time. 7:00 came and still no call. I called them and was told that they had decided to do the op under a spinal block and that Barrie still had no feeling back so could not come home. I went through and visited. They had to wait until he had got feeling back. I can tell you it was a very long day of waiting. I picked him up this morning, lots of pain but he can now recover at home. Its a different world nowadays after surgery. They send you home full of stitches and clips and in lots of pain and the nurse at the doctor's surgery takes them out on the 6th of November. I can though now look after him and he can recover in his own home. No driving for 6/8 weeks does not go down well with him though. Thank you all so much for the lovely comments. We so appreciate them.
Taken last night when I visited.

The little cat that visited ( Suki ) started coming in quite often to see us and would wait for me coming home from work to say hello. I think she liked the quiet of our yard as a small child and lots of animals and mayhem next door. One Saturday morning three weeks ago the family upped and moved and took Suki with them. I miss her little face.

We're glad Barrie home now, after all that. Continued purrs and purrayers to him for a speedy recovery, and to you as you have to juggle everything while he does recover. I hope you'll have a bit of help from family and/or friends.

I'm glad Barrie is home and recovering - I'm sending loads of purrs to help him feel better. I'm sorry Suki is not there as at least a part time nursemaid to give purrs in person!

Glad to hear the surgery is done and that Barry is home. They don't keep you long any more, do they? Our Dad had hernia surgery a while back and he said it is not fun. All paws crossed and lots of prayers coming your way.

We are very glad to know that Barrie's surgery went well! He looks marvelous in your photo. Sometimes it does seem patients come home a bit early but with all the germs , it's probably best. Our prayers are with you both.
Its sad little Suki moved. She would have been a sweet little nurse kitty and entertained Barrie a bit during his no-drive recovery.

We're just stopping by to check on Barrie. Here's hoping that the pain has subsided and he can find a comfortable position for rest. His
marvelous La-Z-Boy recliner has got to be a whole lot more comfortable than a hospital bed. We're keeping you both in our prayers. All of our love.
