The holiday kitties........

Usually wherever we go on holiday there are lots of kitties and I do worry about them on many occasions. That's why I was so pleased when we were in Lanzarote a few weeks ago to see how well and happy the kitties there were.
In the afternoon they were all snoozing happily and had no fear..

                                         So content...

This little one came down to say hello...
We saw lots of evidence that someone feeds them regularly..

We saw kitties stalking these but having no luck...

                                            Stalking....

But there were families of ducks just a few feet from the sleeping  kitties who seemed to come to no harm..

They must have plenty of food and water and don't need to chase the ducks thankfully..
This one was always on the wall when we took our evening walk and always wanted petting and would roll over for his tummy tickling..

They all looked healthy and happy and content and I was so grateful for that..

I am sorry if I came across as negative in my last post. I miss blogging about Jasper so much and I want to keep on blogging. The last thing I want is for you all to think I am a moaner and not come and visit. I suppose it was a mixture of tiredness and being a bit down. Sorry for that. I am on late shifts just now and although on call for the night shift when I finish at 11:00 am not nearly as tired.   I do appreciate all our blog friends.. Love and hugs Carol xxx

It's good to see that colony being taken care of, though I suppose TNR is out of the question? Still, they look good and yes, content, so that's great!

Personally, I think you ought to post whatever you want--if it's happy, sad or in-between. It's YOUR blog, we care about YOU, not "happy" Carol, but Carol--however Carol is in the moment. Does that make sense?

All of us have ups and downs--example, I lean to depression and have been clinically depressed a couple of times in my life...Now am on the pre-menopausal hormonal roller coaster, so am usually either in a wild rage or super-low in my mood. LOL. It's NOT pretty! (Add to that work cr*p, neigbhour cr*p at home, blah blah.)

The (long-winded) point being that we're going to come and visit you no matter what your mood, so post what you need to--it can help, especially since many of us can relate.

Lots of hugs and universal Light, and purrs from Nicki and Derry

How nice to see the kitties are well taken care of! Don't worry about sounding down or negative sometimes - my human's in a mood today and it's all I can do to keep a lid on her! Now, SHE'S enough to drive any cat crazy! You, on the other hand, are fine.

oh, how did you leave without wanting to take them home? Soooooo cute!

Please don't ever feel the need to apologize for anything. You are not a moaner, you're going through a very real grieving process with which most of us also are intimately acquainted.

We completely understand and support you.

Howdy Carol, beautiful kitties weren't they. Glad you got to have a pat with some of them. I can understand your tiredness as our daughter is a Nurse and she gets very tired with shift work too. Take care. We're here whenever you need us. No worries, and love, Carol (and Stella and Rory)

How wonderful to see those kitties and know they are being cared for .
That makes us smile :)
We never felt you were negative
or a moaner.
You have just lost your kitty, your best friend and we expect that you will feel sad, angry and a bit depressed. I know I do!
I am bummed that my Tillie is gone. We had a huge bond.
Now,Tiger is gone. Though she was barely 17, I miss her sandpaper kisses.
Post what you want to post. We all care about you and Barrie as much as we cared about Jasper.
Let it out.We are here to listen and offer virtual hugs :)
This blogging community really is awesome.

I feel the same when I am on holidays ! Fortunately the tourists take care of the cats. In Tenerife there were so many half starved stray cats it was awful. But since years it's better, there are Cat lover groups (mostly Brits) who spay the cats, cut a little piece of the ear off, so you know that this cat is spayed and taken care of. I am sure they do it in Lanzarote and the other islands too.

We love the pictures of those cats that you saw on your holiday. They looked as though they are well fed - from other boats too. The second picture made Mum think of Lucy as she often curls up and holds her tail too.

Didn't you want to take them all home and give them the love they deserve?
Give them names, brush their fur and cuddle them all day long?
I didn't think you sounded at all
negative or like a moaner in your last
post either. And you have every right
to as shift work can be &@$$!
Anytime you want to talk about
Jasper, we'd all love to join in.

Those ferals look contented. TW still hasn’t remembered to take pics of the Park Cats she feeds. One of them even came right up to her yesterday. We have a new TNR group around here who have done the cats in our complexes garage.

Those cats do look quite content, and I'm glad that they don't have to do any serious hunting.

I agree with Fuzzy Tales: blog about whatever you like. Sometimes the topic will be unpleasant, sometimes wonderful. To try to be happy all the time would make the blog just a facade. Write about whatever you want. That's the good of a blog, I think.
