So relaxed.........

Hello everyone.. Mum thought you might like these photo's.. I am taking another tablet to help my head and when I first take it I am relaxed and a little sleepy. Mum had just cleaned the windows and the blinds were right back. I took advantage to have a snooze in a lovely sun puddle. mum laughed when she saw me because I was fast asleep and she said so cute...

                                      Did someone say something..
Now for a little update. I am taking the new tablets and mum has bought three new trays and I have them all over the place. I am using the one near the back door and I look at it as if to say oh a tray I will use this one. I have still had a couple of accidents but not many at all so far.. I am still making the crying noise which mum says is disconcerting but she doesn't think I am in pain as I do look puzzled. I go back to the vets on Wednesday tea time so we will see what he says then.. Love and hugs to all.. GJ xx

Such sweet photos. I'm wondering how old GJ is? My cat, Cali walked around our home calling out and crying at night. My vet told me she had the beginnings of dementia. She said it happens to older cats and they are not in pain, just a bit confused. She was not distressed but it did sound very strange.

You look so relaxed I would not think you are hurting my friend. Our Buddy does that strange yowling at night. He will go into another room and cut loose with on and off for a half hour and then mosey back in like nothing is going on. Maybe you two are using cat telepathy?

I remember Jenny wandering around crying like she had no idea where she was and doing the strangest things. Until then, I never realized cats can get dementia. Not saying that's your problem, GJ, but your post got me thinking of Jenny.

Hi GJ! I've not been around lately and had to catch up on all your goings-on. So sorry for all the peeing and howling!

I have a cat, Oliver, that can make the most pitiful howls in the middle of the night. I always call to him and he then comes to bed. I sometimes wonder if he forgets I'm there and is howling out of loneliness?

Hope all the litter pans help! I heard one suggestion from a vet who felt the best litter boxes were actually the trays that they mix cement in that you can get from home improvement stores. They are very wide but only a couple of inches high on the sides so easy to get in and out of.

I still use pee pads under my litter boxes just in case someone misses, though.

I hope the pills work in making you less anxious. The photo certainly looks like they work ;-)

Sending purrs and prayers to you from Washington, DC.

Hugs,
Christine, along with Sweet Pea, Chunky Lisa, Oliver, Toby and Figaro

It's wonderful to see you so relaxed and looking so beautiful. We hope you do well on your new tablets and things can get back to normal again. It's a really good idea to have multiple boxes around. That way, if you are becoming forgetful, there will always be one close by to jog your memory. Getting older physically is no fun , sweetheart. The aches, the creaks , the problems with our tummies and bladders; it happens to all of us - it's part of life. We love you beyond words, sweetheart. You remain, as always, in our prayers.

What a wonderful catnap spot! We're glad you are doing better with the litter boxes.

My Himalayan did some crying in her latter years. Attention and night lights helped the most.
