Just look what I did.....

Well you will never guess what I did... I have not climbed high for a good while and am wobbly when I do get up but this morning I was in the yard with mum and I saw the birds all swooping down on my neighbours shed for bread he had put out. I took off after them and came back with a prize.. I caught one. Mum was flabbergasted and shouted drop it Jasper drop it. I brought it back for her and went under the table. Mum was horrified I had caught a little sparrow but amazed I had felt up to it.. Don't look at the pictures if you are squeamish...

Do you know what mum did she put in the bin.. Sheesh after all my hard work too.. Dad was also upset I had caught it.. I was purring mum look what I got you...

I went back and sat waiting for them to come back but for some reason they didn't...
Maybe there is life in this old cat yet...
Love and hugs to all.. GJ.. xx

Oh GJ, we are sooooooo proud of you to catch that bird. That just shows you that you still have it in you. The Mum should have let you preen over it for a little while. We think it is great. Poor bird but it is survival of the fitest. Take care and have a great week end.

Well done GJ! You are indeed a Mighty Hunter. It wasn't fair that you weren't allowed to keep it though. I prefer to catch mousies, but Eric liked to catch the birds. If he got one he would run under the hedge with it and hide at the back where mum couldn't reach him.

What??? She threw it away, GJ? After all that hard work? What a shame.

We are proud of you, buddy. Keep active, and make sure you try to eat, too, okay?

Hugs and love to you, Mom and Dad.

GJ, I am so proud of you! Even if your humans did not appreciate your gift, I think it was awesome! I can't go outside here, so I will probably never get to catch a birdie.

Congratulations on the fine hunting job GJ! We are allowed to keep, play with, and eat (if we want to) what we catch here. We even get PRAISED for it!

Oh Jasper, darling! It was a sign! A sign to reassure your mum and dad! We know they don't approve of your catching birds. But you love it and you did something you love with skill and finesse. You are enjoying your life and that makes us all so happy! God bless you, our precious boy! Extra treats for all in honour of our great jungle hunter!

Good on you GJ. I got my biannual bird a couple of months ago, and I dragged it through the catdoor in my mouth to show mum, til she put it in the bin too.

I feel your pain.

As much as your mom probably didn't like you catching that sparrow, it shows that you have some life left in you.

It's sad that the sparrow had to die, but perhaps that is what they get for underestimating Ginger Jasper!
