At the vets today....

Hi everyone.. Today I was at the vet to get poked and prodded. At least today they didn't steal my bloods, They are going to do more tests and we are to pick up a special litter tomorrow that allows us to capture a sample of urine. Apparently the litter lets the urine run to the bottom and you can collect it in a bottle. They are going to test for infections etc just in case. That is just one possibility that has to be ruled out but it seems there may be another possibility that is more likely. As well as weeing everywhere I am making the most awful loud meowing noise which mum thought meant I was in pain. I am unsteady on jumping up and I do sleep a lot more than usual. I also just look so perturbed and am disorientated. The vet thinks maybe it could be senility setting in.

                               Today after I got back

Every time mum and dad some carpet sort of sorted out there is another spot. Today I was in the yard and walked in to the living room and just stopped and went. Mum and dad are convinced I don't realise and cant help it. We are getting more litter trays tomorrow and will try and squeeze them in around the place although we have only a very tiny house. I am trying another tablet that is meant to help brain activity. We pick everything up tomorrow so will see how things go then.
Paws crossed it all helps.. I hope all my friends are ok.
Love and hugs to all.. GJ xx

We love you so much, dearest Jasper, and are keeping you in our prayers. Do you think you might have kidney stones or stones in your bladder? Maybe your mum could read up about them and see if your symptoms fit.
We know your are a very tidy boy and would never go outside of your box unless something within your body was causing you to do so. Our Gran just "goes" without warning too. She's elderly and can't help herself either!

We're continuing to purr and purray for you, GJ, for your Highest Good.

If there aren't any stones or bacteria in your urine and it's merely a matter of senility, maybe your beans could get some puppy training pads to spread around the carpet?

GJ, I wish you were doing better! I am sending lots of purrs to you. Maybe your human could try puppy pads? I think that might be even more helpful for you than the extra litter boxes. Just a thought.

Purrs to you GJ. Our Georgia was like that as she got elderly. The Woman got puppy pads and just taped them down everywhere--which protected the carpet.

Dear GJ we hope the vets have the answer and the pills will work out. Our own kitty Megat does the same thing and he sometimes forgets as well.

We sorry you're having such a tough time of it lately Jasper.

The woman's cat before us, Tiger became senile in his old age and forgot where he was supposed to go. Although he went in the bath, so it was a great deal easier to clean up.

I wish things would improve for you, Ginger Jasper. There is a litter here, a clay litter, called Cat-Attract, and is supposed to do just that. Perhaps that will help after your urine is collected.

Best of luck to you and your mum and dad.

We are purring for you, Jasper buddy.

Did your v-e-t not think it could be a UTI? My sister Pandora only ever goes outside the box when she has a UTI, and she cries and stuff when that happens too.

Ginger Jasper my dear furend we are all purring that you pull through this tough spell. Our Buddy is an elder and was middening with stool. Dad thinks it was from Rumpy being a nudge. Buddy still meows oddly at night but then it passes and things are back to normal.
Love you my dear friend
