My update.....

Hello everyone.. Firstly thanks for all the good wishes they mean so much to me... Now my vet visit report. I went to see my vet today and although he is a very nice man indeed I don't like going one bit. They stole my bloods from my neck again and listened to my heart. Looked in my eyes really good to see what my blood pressure was doing. I was weighed and indeed have lost weight but we expected that with the small amount I am eating. My blood levels have risen again but not as high as was first feared. I am to have another tablet in the hope of stimulating my appetite much more than it is now. I have to go back on Friday to see if I am eating more and what is happening with me. The vet man discussed with mum and dad that if I don't start eating better on my own I would probably have to go back into the vet hospital and be on a drip and see if that helps because the constant rising levels mixed with not eating could mean a rapid decline.Mum and dad are hoping it does not happen because it really stressed me up so much last time. So mixed news really and just hoping so much that it becomes good news.
We also got to visit with load of friends last night before mum went to her night shift. We are going to try again to visit more tonight. Thank you so much my friends. Love to all. GJ xx

My you are a brave cat, I hate having my blood taken. I hope the extra tablet helps and when you go Friday you will know more as to how you're getting on.
Take care, love to your mum and dad.
Hugs xx
Yvonne.

Ginger Jasper, here's a warning mate. If ya don't start eating more soon, Rory is sending over a bottle of healing slobber. Ya may think, "oh goodie, I'll be able to spike my hair, create lots of cool hairstyles!" No, sorry you won't, you'll just look like a slimy bedraggled cat. Eat now. He's not joking. No worries, and LOVE, Stella and Rory (who's working up his slobber levels as we speak) hehe.

At least the news wasn't as bad as it could have been, GJ. Paws crossed that you will do okay at home and won't have to be on a drip at the vets. I'm sending lots of purrs your way.

GJ, we hope for the very best for you. Sending all our love and purrs.

I wish I had a few words to help you cope right now. While Annie didn't have the same health issues of course, I remember how it was, the lack of eating, her own slow decline. It hurts my heart so very much to read these posts, because GJ is such a beloved cat. I truly hope he still has quality time left to spend with you both, but whatever happens, please, please be at peace, knowing you always have done the absolute very best for him, in all ways.

Well, we suppose it could be worse, at least the numbers didn't rise as much as you thought they might. Now Mr. GJ, please do try to eat so you won't have to be hospitalized. But if you do have to go, just remember it is only because they want to help you.

Thanks for your good thoughts for Thunder.

GJ, here's hoping the appetite tablet works its magic, Buddy! You are a really brave boy--last time I went to the Stabby Place, I was very, very bad. I am *always* very bad there. In fact, no one can even TOUCH me. They have to knock me out to even examine me. It's horrible. I just can't help myself, though I am quite snuggly now with my Human. Anyway, YOU are a really Good Boy and I am sending you all my very bestest purrs!

Sending lots more pawsitive thoughts, purrs, and purrayers, GJ. You can do this! XOXOXO

Are there injections of your appetite medicine that would work better than the pills? If a drip will help where pills won't, maybe your mum and dad can be instructed in giving you shots? Something has to make you eat, Ginger Jasper. We're pulling for you.

OK, dear friend, put the fight on...it is time to chow down and get things back on track. We don't want you to have to go back to the hospital nor do we want any talk of rapid declines. Feel our paws wrapped around you...pushing a little, comforting, sending strength and hunger, a loving a lot.

We're ramping up our purrayers and purrs for you, GJ! It sucks to have to be at the vet hospital, but the fluids might help you feel better, which might encourage you to eat.

Darling GJ

You have been brave so far. You're a fighter remember? And you've still have so many spiders to catch. Its your livelong mission. Fight on! You can do it. When you dont feel like eating, just remember you need strength to chase the spiders and you'll eat again. As usual, your fan here from oceans away is keeping track on your condition. My prayers have never stopped. Believe in miracle precious puss.

Oh, GJ, partly goof news is nice to hear. Now we hope you can eat some more. We wonder whether the point of the drip is just mainly fluids whether they could give you sub cutnaeous fluids so you could stay home. If need be for you to have that regularly, maybe you humans could be allowed to inject the sub Q fluids. Would seem you Mum has the medical knowledge to do that, and Dad can hold you to keep you from squirming. Best of luck, dear friend. Purrs to your humans, who must be feeling worried about you maybe having to go back to the vet hospital.

Boy oh boy do my boys hate having blood taken from their necks! Sweet Pea even has to have a muzzle put on as he gets so hissy and growly...and bitey.

Just eat little bites throughout the day. I little nosh here, a little nosh there and pretty soon you'll have eaten quite a bit! My Chunky Lisa can attest to that ;-)

Hugs,
