A strange thing...

A strange thing is happening. You remember I have told you a lot of times that I hate other cats in my yard and neighbours yards and will chase them away. Well I still hate most coming except there is all of a sudden a exception to the rule.
This little one is only a young cat and comes by many times a day. Its not a stray and lives just across the backs from us. It sits and looks and waits and when I am about it comes close. Mum has given the name Felix.

Here he/she is waiting on the shed roof for me to come out..
Today dad went to the back of the garage and there was Felix and me sitting quite close and I was not spitting, hissing or chasing. Both dad and mum cant believe the difference with this kitty because I have always without exception chased al introoders away. When the little one saw dad he went in the space between the garage and next doors fence.  followed but again no chasing..
He/ she is nervous of people
This one also comes a lot but I am my usual self and will chase away if mum or dad don't get there first and stop me.. Again not a stray..

Do you remember us showing you this little one many times. We think this was a stray and mum really did love this little one. we fed every day more than once and mum spoke to our vet about doctoring and was going to pay for it because she was worried it was a female and would have kittens. We are sad because she has not been around at all for a few weeks. We don't know what has happened but pray it is because she has been given a home.

The very strange thing is why don't I chase the little Felix cat away. A puzzle indeed.
I am still not much different and very quiet and slow . I go back to the vet tomorrow and mum and dad will ask if there is a alternative tablet to the appetite one because I am once again hiding from my meds and dad hates that because it is only the appetite one that has caused this and he had got the others to a fine art and I didn't mind at all. Mum is still having the ear problem and thinks the silly tablets could be making it worse. So tablets have a lot to answer for at the moment.
I hope al my friends are ok and love and hugs to  all. GJ xx

Felix is a cutie, we love his markings. Gives him a wry expression, we think.

We don't know why you don't mind him, but we're glad you don't!

Continued purrs and purrayes for you and your mum...We hope there are different meds that will help you both.

It's sweet that you are nice to Felix since it looks like he needs a kitty furiend! We are sending purrs that the vet can figure something out to help you Jasper! Much love and hugs to you and your mum!

Maybe Felix just needs a furriend and since he is young, you don't see him as a threat to your kingdom?

Paws and claws crossed that your mum and dad can get a different tablet to makes you eat a bit more and is easier to get down...

Hugs,
Christine, Sweet Pea, Chunky Lisa, Oliver, Toby and Figaro

There seems sometimes to be that one cat that another cat doesn't dislike. You know why, Ginger Jasper, but there's no need to tell us. We're just happy you like little Felix.

Well, he looks intelligent. Does he talk a lot? (I've never met another cat, although I met a Greyhound at the Vets last time I went.) My Mom's ear hurts most of the time, too. She puts drops in it.
Hugs,
Mandu

Well, we think you and Felix must have some sort of special connection, GJ. That's how friends are, right? :)

We are purring and praying that there can be a better solution to the tablets for you and Mum.

Hugs and love to you all.

What a wonderful up lifting post GJ,
I wish you well for tomorrow and will be thinking of you. I too have to go to the hospital which I hate so we're a right pair.
Hugs all round

That is nice that you have a little friend GJ.

Has the vet recommended subcut fluids? It made our Puss girl feel better when she had renal failure, and as mum works at a hospital the vet gave her instructions on how to do it home.

We are so glad you have a kitty friend! He must be a very special cat, indeed, to have gained your friendship.
He's quite good looking and you, dearest, look so magnificent like you've never had a sick day in your life.
There is another appetite stimulating tablet, Mirtazapine, that must be given with care but can help to stimulate appetite. And perhaps a vitamin B 12 shot. That always seems to enhance things.
God bless you dearest Jasper. We continue to pray for you and we will pray for the little girl kitty gone missing.
P.S.

We are glad you have decided to be friends with this kitty but sad you haven't seen the other kitty. Maybe she had kittens?

We hope you and your mom can get some medications to feel better. We're sending lots of purrs your way.

For some reason, GJ, you sense that Felix is friend and not foe.

We purr that your appetite gets better.

It is kind of nice to mentor little Felix, isn't it, dear friend? The little tyke probably thinks of you are the wisest, handsomest, coolest cat he has ever seen.

Puff can certainly sympathize with dreaded tablets but dad crushes hers to a powder that he mixes with water and momma holds he while dad syringes it down...then she gets a treat. Probably would not work so well for you. The WDA sends lots of positive thoughts along with you tomorrow.

at first I was going to say it was because he has a home and you smell his home, but then you said the other kitty has a home and you don't like that one, so that shot our theory.
Praying that you and your Mum begin to feel better

I am happy you have a little friend there, Jasper. He probably has a lot of respect for you and looks up to you as very wise (which we all know you are)!
