Thank you all my friends for the purrs and prayers. I came on today to give a little update. I am very up and down with the eating and seem to only want to eat a little at night. Most days I wont take anything no matter what is offered, I will eat a little at night but not enough to be good. I am not hiding away which mum says is good but she also says I don't look well in my face and that worries her. I am always a snuggly cat but am extra so and want to be as close as possible. Mum says that is fine because both her and dad love me to snuggle. Sorry we haven't been to visit much but we will soon.. Love and hugs to all. GJ xx

GJ, we think it is a good sign that you want to snuggle. A kitty feeling sick or hurting would probably not do that. But we hope you do not end up fading away. Isn't there a childrens' poem about a shadow? You don't want to become a shadow, sweet boy.
We found the poem (isn't google grand?). It is by Robert Louis Stevenson. We hope it makes you and your parents smile and maybe you will want to eat more.
"I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me,

We haven't visited in soooo long, we didn't know you were having ups and downs again! We looked back and read that your labwork was worsening and that you were having to add phosphorus binders to your food. Maybe that is why you aren't wanting to eat? Some kitties don't like how it tastes if mixed in food.
We are sure we asked this already, but are you getting sub q fluids or won't you let your mum and dad do that for you? It can really help, but neither do they want you to hide from them when it comes to treatment time. Maybe your vet could do it for them, like every other day, and see if that helps your values and appetite get better.
We just aren't ready to say goodbye yet and we know your mum and dad aren't either...
Oh GJ I wish you would eat. Me and mum and dad are worrying about you and send lots of love and purrs. Mum will email later tonight.

The biggest thing to remember GJ is to keep hydrated. Mom gives us clear Pedialyte from a cleaned med syringe. ICE gets it too if he seems stressed so he won't have a seizure.

Oh, P. S. Sub-Q fluids are really much easier for us at home. We are just the opposite of many cats that act up at home but behave at the vets when getting fluids. We'd act up at the vets but mum would wait for our usual sleepy time in the afternoon and then give the fluids. They really help you to feel better, precious boy, if you can tolerate them.
GJ, we are all worried, please get well! Maybe you would like to eat some Gerber meat flavored baby food or people type canned tuna or milk or tuna flakes? Sending you purrs to eat.
