A mixed day...

Today has been a mixed day.. I ate a little this morning by myself. A very little but something. I was today mum thinks a little more alert. Mum was in the yard  planting the baskets and I was out with her most of the time. I turned my nose up at fresh cooked fish which I usually love and have not eaten anything since this morning so dad is just about to give me another tablet. I am though drinking lots of water which is helping keep me hydrated.
I so love you all for keeping the purrs going and mum says it keeps her going too.
Love and hugs to all.. GJ xxx

GJ, I am not eating a lot either and lying around sleeping most of the time. For ME, Mom thinks it is the hot weather taking it out of me, though at my age of 11 1/2, I have slowed down a lot even during the winter months. Do you think that may be part of it for you?

Sending lots of purrs your way.

Has your mum ever tried cooked, ground chicken livers to tempt you to eat. I once had a very, very sick kitty, and the only thing he would eat would be those livers. I'd boil them with a little celery and then take a tad of the broth along with the cooked livers and put them through the blender until they were like a pate'.

Eating a little is better than not eating....but upping the intake would be good Buddy, if you can manage it. Your Mum and Dad love you sooooooooo much! And vice-versa ;-) XOXOXOXO Sending all my best purrs!

You ate! What wonderful boy! God bless you, sweetheart. And you're drinking too! We are praying hard that you have turned the corner and are on the road to recovery.
You know, when we kitties are sick, , we want the darndest things: chicken neck neat, tinned sardines, sliced meats. We pray you find something you like.
We also think that relaxing in the garden with your mum helps too. You probably stressed your heart by over exertion when your folks were away. We send you good night kisses from our little corner of the world. We love you si!

Oh GJ...this is many days of not so good mews. Tell your mum and dad that even though you are drinking water, when your kidneys aren't working right that lapping up water can't keep up. It's kind of like the body tells you to drink a lot but it still can't flush the toxins from your system. If your mum and dad could try sub q fluids every other day for 3 days, that should make you feel less 'poisoned' by the bad stuff the kidneys can't get rid of now...
