Updates.....

Hello everyone.. This is how I have been spending a lot of my time. I am though very much improved and am eating really well so the tablets are working well.. mum has been megga busy as on the late shift with on call but also so much more happening....
Our baby great granddaughter has been back in hospital and has been quite ill. she had blood in her nappy which was a huge worry, they found that her haemoglobin was very low and she had a transfusion. They have been saying all along that Alivia was not putting on enough weight and is really a tiny girl. the strange  thing is that she has not been vomiting or any other signs and is a happy baby. They eventually found out that she is allergic to milk and this could have been the problem.Usually there are signs such as vomiting but it seems it has been affecting her insides hence the blood. Now Alivia is on a substitute milk and hopefully it will help and she  can start to thrive. Annoyingly they didn't find this last time she was in hospital. Yesterday Alivia came home so fingers crossed.

When mum was coming home from work at 11:30 on Thursday night the3 brakes failed on her car. Scary stuff indeed. Mum was very shook up and only glad it was late and no cars about. With all the trips back and forth up the motorway to see the little ones mum is just thankful that this didn't happen on the motorway and in the rain. does not bare thinking about. It seems a lining came of a brake pad and a cylinder leaked fluid. It is now fixed thankfully.
So this is some of the reasons we didn't get to post or visit. Hopefully we will get a chance from tomorrow.. I have been thinking of you all though and hope everyone is OK..
Much love to all.. GJ xxxx

Oh, that story about Mum's brakes sends chills through Mom - we are so glad she is OK.

And poor little Alivia, she has had a rough start. She is just so beautiful and she looks healthy too. All of our little ones had to have soy formula as infants because the regular formula bothered them too much. We hope the doctors can get her back on the right track pronto.

Hugs to all.

A baby allergic to milk! Good Heavens, these allergies are spreading these days and getting worse. At least they found what may be the problem - at last - but how a food allergy could cause bleeding and not vomiting is strange, don't you think? And broken brakes on a car! Let's have some good luck over there from now on, all right?

Thank goodness your Mum is safe GJ - how scary for her - it was fortunate it wasn't such a busy time being late in the evening when it happened.
We are sorry to hear the baby has been back in hospital - Mum says she is sorry to hear that she is allergic to milk (Mum is too - but she says nowhere near as severely as your great-granddaughter).
We are so pleased that Alivia is back home again.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
