Back from the vet.....

Just look at my gorgeous new blog look. the wonderful Ann at Zoolatry did the marvellous new header and wallpaper. I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw it today. Ann is just wonderful so if you need a new blog look then pay a visit..
                                                       Me and my mum ....
Hello my friends.. I went to the dreaded vet's at 8:15 this morning. I didn't get and needles just the  blood pressure taken. Mum and dad were waiting and worrying at home and wishing Mr Brown would ring soon. Mr Brown rang at 11:30 and said I had been really good and let him take  the readings no bother. Mum waited with baited breath and he said thew tablets must be working because my pressure is down from the dangerous level of 280 to 165. That is only a little high and the tablets should keep it under control. The best news is that I can go three months before getting my blood levels and blood pressure done again, unless any problems before that. This is such good news because at Christmas they gave me very little time at all.. All the purrs, prayers and woofs and love are working.. I love you all..
Mum is on late shift this week and is just dashing this post off before she goes to work. We have not visited much at all but will get back to it as soon as possible. On this shift it is just difficult. mum is just glad that they rang before she had to go in and she was able to go with dad to collect me.
I was super agitated on the way home so the stress of the vet must be getting to me, just glad its over for a while.. I have to take three tablets every day, but small price to pay for my being well. Dad crushes them and dilutes in a little water and I sit and let him syringe it in my mouth. Takes no time at all.
       Love and hugs GJ xxxxxx

Excellent news, Ginger Jasper! 280 does indeed sound dangerous for blood pressure; another three months until your next exam sounds good, though. Stay relaxed and enjoy life; we want you around for next Christmas and many more after that.

Dear GJ,
Me is soo happy yous is feeling better and Yous is such a good cat! Yous takes your medicine like Licorice used too. Not me! When me was sick 2 weeks ago, me was very bad about taking mine! If Mommy gound it up and tried to squirt it, me would throw up. If they tried to gives me the tablets, me would foam at the mouth until me gots most of it out (and me do mean foam!!!)
The only way Mommy could get them down was to hide little pieces of tablet in ham.

What a brave and wonderful kitty you are, sweetheart! No one likes to go to the vet, it's always such a trying experience. And we know from experience, having a kitty's pressure taken is really un-fun! No wonder you were restless on the trip home. But we are overjoyed to hear of your excellent response to your BP medication.
Since your wonderful dad is giving you crushed pills already , one more won't be too awful. You are in our prayers, dearest. We send our love to you and your mum and dad.
