Quiet and blue....

Hello everyone... Firstly thank you so much for all your lovely comments.. It helps a lot... At the moment I am really quiet and not moving around a lot. I am sleeping mostly and very very quiet. Mum and dad hope that it is the new medication that is doing this and that when my system gets used to them I will feel better..Sometimes new medication does do this and settles after a few days, we hope so.. I am though eating OK..

Mum had arranged to go and see the beans yesterday and dad stayed behind with me... The weather was very bad and the rain and wind made mum wish she had not arranged to go because the journey there and back was awful with so much rain making driving conditions bad..
Seeing these three made the journey worthwhile...
They are all looking up because mum was making them laugh with a monkey song and they were looking for the monkey.. Even baby Alivia is looking up..
Mum didn't stay too long because of the weather and was glad to be back home safely ...
Hugs to all.. GJ xxx

GJ, we'd be quiet after a new medicine and a stressful day at the vet, too. And thank Cod your Mum made it home safely, although we can certainly see why she wanted to visit! Who could resist those happy faces?

We were going to suggest the new meds as well, GJ. Purrs that's all it is and that they do you good.

That photo is so sweet, we can see the trip was worth it in the end, as harrowing as it might have been.

*Kitty kisses* and hugs.

I think you are very right about the medicine. You gotta take it easy and let it get started to do its job.

I am very much glad that your mum made it home safe and sound after her visit with the little two leggers.

There is always an adjustment with new meds. Quinn sleeps a lot when his medications are increased or changed...and momma was the same way until she got used to her high blood pressure med.

We are sending lots of love and White Dog healing energy. Hoping you will get your feet back under you in a few days of adjusting.

Sometimes it's good to be quiet to let the medicine work. It may take a while to get adjusted, but it's good that you are eating OK.

We have tried to leave our purrs before, but there was an error message instead of the comment box - maybe beacuse there were soooo many messages of support for you dear Jasper.

Yes, dearest Jasper, we think your sleepiness is probably due to your blood pressure meds. Same thing happened to our Arthur. Very lethargic. We kitties have varied response to these type of meds and your vet may have to try various meds or combinations of meds to get your pressure under control and you feeling good too. We are overjoyed to hear that your eating! Certainly a good sign. Please remember, our Arthur had a good quality of life on his treatment regimen and that is the important thing. We love you so much , sweetheart. You remain, as always, in our hearts and prayers.

P.S. Our other high blood pressure kitty, Austin, lost his sight to uncontrolled high blood pressure.( prior to us adopting him).
He, as I think I told you before, had several more years with great quality of life because of his BP pills.

My dearest carol .... oh how I feel for you all worrying so much over your beloved ginger boy. I pray he will rally and recover himself with the new meds and that it will not be too hard to get him to take them. I know how that can go as Miss Peach was a master at hiding the pill and spitting it into the next county when we were not looking:)
Please know how much we love you and care so very much. It was good for you to see the sweet little beans for a bit even if the trip was a dreadful one.
All our best love from the cozy cottage

Oh jasper, please forgive me for not knowing what was going on. :( Sending tons of healing purrs and prayers your way :( Does your vet offer fluid treatments? When mom worked at the vet when they had a cat that had kidney problems, they would give a weekly dose of fluids (some owners learned to do it at home so they would buy a bag of fluids and do the treatments themselves at home) and the fluids really helped perk up the patients and they did REALLY REALLY well on it. We hope that everything gets better and you start feeling better soon.
