Sleepy me and Christmas card.....

This was me last night and is how I spend a lot of time at the moment. Mum tried to catch me to show you how I curl up so much that you cant tell which end is which but I moved when the flashy box came out. Although I sleep a lot I am not hiding away and I also love to cuddle up with my dad so yes we are getting our quality time together and with the tablets help I am eating.

Mum doesn't know what all the figures mean with levels etc but when she asked these were this week they were : Creatin 521, Urea 20.8 and something else that she didn't catch was 34. When I had been on the drip for four days one level was 12 but mum is not sure which one, she will pay more attention next time. The tablets that are keeping me eating are called Periactin 4mg they don't though make them anymore here so the vet will try to source them from elsewhere.

Right enough of me waffling because you will all be so fed up of hearing all this.It does help mum to talk about it though and we are so grateful for you listening and to all your comments and help.

Mum did feel more like commenting and yesterday visited many friends and leave a comment, she will visit some more because we have missed so much.

We got our snail mail cards out last week and this week some E cards, if we missed any then we are sorry. Please take a copy of my card either from here or the sidebar and take with our love. The wonderful Ann made my card..

With much love to everyone... GJ xxx

Aw, GJ, we love the pics of you curled up. We're glad you're not hiding away and continue to purr and purray for you.

Your test results might not mean a lot to others who use a different test scale/configuration. Your mum would have to make a PDF or list the values with their range (low to high and where you are on the scale.) Does that make sense?

(((Hugs))) and kitty kisses.

Sleeping is nature's way of letting our bodies heal, so take all the naps you need. It's good that the pills are working and that you are eating. That's a step in the right direction, GJ.
You look very comfy napping on your hammick! And thank you for the christmas card!

We want to know everything that is going on with you, sweet Jasper, especially your lab values. Many of us are mums of kidney cats and it helps us to better understand what is going on with our most precious boy. (The US uses a different measuring system than the UK and the rest of the world.).
We are glad to hear that your vet will help you find the medication you need to make you eat. We were quite worried about that.
You look amazing, though! We just can't imagine that a kitty as ill as you can look so magnificent!
We adore you Jasper and will be thankful to do anything possible to help you. You remain in our prayers and our hearts. God bless you, dearest.

A very merry Christmas to you and yours, Ginger Jasper. And tell your mum not to worry about writing about the things you're going through. It helps to talk about them, I know, and we all want to listen. If we didn't, we wouldn't be here. Take care.

Beautiful GJ!

I hope this helps:

Creatine and urea are waste products that normal kidneys get rid off. I haven't a clue what the normal levels of such things are - I hope the vet can tell you so you can compare these results with what should be GJ's normal levels.

I'm guessing the other test results are the red and white blood cell counts? Again there is a normal level for the cell counts - too high and too low is not good and keeping these counts stable is the important thing too.

I hope you get more of these appetite tablets! They seem to be doing the trick helping GJ eat.

Oh but GJ is looking so floofy and so sweet all curled up asleep. I'm so happy he wants cuddles now - that's truly the bestest sign of all! Take care please GJ and mum and dad. Me and Charlie love you all!

x
