Update on Liam........

Hello everyone, sorry for being missing for a couple of days but I am here now and would like to give you a little update on Liam. This week the pot came off his arm and he will begin physio to try and get use back in it. A lot of other breaks are healing well. The main worry is still his right eye in which he still has no sight. They have taken many x-rays, photo,s and ran many tests. They seem to think that the glass went in at such force that it changed the shape of the eyeball. This has now gone back but there is quite a bit of blood still pooling at the back of the eye which needs to disperse before they can be sure of anything but its still looking as though the retina is damaged. we are so hoping that is not the case.
Liam's brother Christopher will this weekend take part in a sponsored 24 hour swim which has been organised in aid of the air ambulance who played a big part in saving Liam. The swim will go on from 8:00 AM on Friday until 8:00 Saturday. They will each swim 1 hour each and Christopher will be swimming one of the legs. I wish them all the best of luck for this great cause because without it the outcome could have been so different.
With much love to all... GJ xx

Thank you for the update on Liam, we know it must be quite a worry for all of the family. If it is any consolation, our Dad had a lot of blood pool behind his retina when his eye "collapsed" during one of his recent surgeries. It took a very long time for the blood to dissipate and it caused tremendous headaches for him. But eventually it did dissolve and his vision came back to what it was before the surgery. You know how much we all believe in the power of both the paw and prayer. Both continuing here for Liam.

Thank you so much for the update on Liam! We continue to pray for his recovery. The eye may be leaking a bit so the blood is not going away just yet. It can take some time to fully resolve and we add special prayers especially that his vision is restored. Along with all of the kitties, beans and occasional woofies of the blogosphere, we send Liam our love and best wishes.
Please tell Christopher that we admire him and are very proud of him and that all of the the blogosphere wish him the best.

Thank you for the Liam update. We are grateful that he is continuing to progress and hope that physical therapy helps restore the use of his arm. Sounds like it is still too soon to make any predictions about the eye but we send White Dog healing energy and positive thoughts.

Christopher is a wonderful brother to participate in the swim meet and we know he will do all proud. White Dogs send strength and endurance to this generous young man and all who participate.
