A scarecrow event...

Hello everyone, I wanted to show you some pictures that mum and dad took a couple of weeks ago at a fun event held every year in a small village called Muston not far from where we live. They hold a scarecrow festival which goes on for a week and visitors can vote for their favourites. There were many may brilliant entries because all the village takes part. I am showing you just some of the many...

Elton John...
An old favourite Postman Pat and his black and white cat....
This was very good....
I like to think that the people buried in this very old church yard approved the idea of a mini cricket team having a game..
A simple but effective book worm...
The garden of this house had 17 snakes hidden around that you had to spot...
Harry Potter fun...
Of course a cat.....
The Simpson's....
Laurel and Hardy ....
This was on the village green and was magnificent...
The plough behind...
Ooops all the trees in the village green had these...
Sponge Bob...
Woofies too...
Fun and games...
On guard.....

Another green had Snow white and Morris dancers....

Look at the huge woofie....
Mum thought he was super..
Jedward took a prize...
She just had to didn't she... Mum said he was gorgeous and she could have brought him home.. Sheesh...
Mum thought this one was so sweet..can you see .. Its going to be a boy.....

Hope you enjoyed the little tour of the scarecrow festival.. There were so many and all so good... Hugs GJ xx

My human LOVED the Laurel & Hardy scarecrows. In fact, the local branch of the L&H Sons of the Desert fan club is called the Way Out West tent, and they are having a meeting tonight! And yes, she is going.

Me? I think those crows had better be scared of any kitty scarecrows!

How wonderful! My mommy and daddy would love to walk amongst those scarecrows! So they really scare the crows?

How fun was that!!! They are all so good. We liked them all but would single out that Laurel and Hardy - very lifelike. And the Simpsons and Harry Potter were quite good too.

Thanks for sharing, GJ - nice pic of you at the top.

That looks like a very fun event! People are sure creative with their scarecrows! We like the Postman Pat and his cat a lot since our Grandpa from Kansas is a retired Postmaster! It would be hard to pick a favorite though. We're glad your mum didn't bring that woofie home to you!

PeeS: Your mum's kitty shirt is adorable!

OH GJ!!! How creative!! What a wonderful festival!! It's brilliant!

Thank you for sharing these amazing pics of very very very creative pieces. They're fantastic works of art and me and Charlie love how everyone put in a lot of effort to create these sculptures! The whole village of Muston should receive a prize for being the most creative ever! Yay!!! Lovely!

Take care

What a fun outing...and all of the entries were so clever and well-done! Not your traditional stuffed shirt and sticks scarecrows!

You can't help but admire how creative people are. Maybe next year someone will make a giant cat! Much love to you and your beans.
