A Mothers day update............

Today in the UK it is mothers day. Grandma's Christmas cactus that flowered with so many blooms at Christmas has today surprised us with a single bloom just in time for mothers day.Happy Mothers day grandma, we miss you so much. To my mum happy mothers day xxxxx Now for my update. KC over at the CB made me this lovely graphic.. Thank you so much. Thank you everyone for caring, purring and woofing for me as I know it helps. We have had so many suggestions and have tried just about all of them. dad has sat with his fingers dipped in cat milk and I have licked it off. I then have drank some on my own. Mum and dad chopped up best ham into tiny pieces and dad put some right into my mouth. I ate that and since then have eaten more ham. This meant I am getting the medication.Mum and dad thinks I am looking brighter. I am at the moment just eating a little ham but that's a start. They went out and bought more of that and are also trying everything else. They are hoping that the medication will ease whatever is bothering me and let me eat properly. I haven't eaten this morning yet but hey ham yesterday is a start. Thank you everyone and keep those purrs coming please. I love you all... Happy Mothers day to all the mums..... Love and hugs GJ xxx

It is good that you are eating GJ, even a little. When I was very sick with lymphoma, my mom had to feed me with a syringe. It was the only way I would eat. Keep up with the ham :)

GJ, I hope you continue to improve and eat even small amounts. Your cactus flower is lovely! We have two at our house, one red one which came rom my Mom's mom too, and we remember her by it. The other one is pale pink and my humans got it after my Mom's sister died, so it is one way to remember her. BOTH are blooming now for your UK Mother's Day!!!

Hope you're feeling better soon. When Little One (in the photo) was a kitten and sick the only way we could get her to take her medicine was in baby food. She still loves it, especially the chicken flavor. Maybe that would help. Take care.

You've started to eat a bit! Oh, dear boy, this is so wonderful!!!! Each bite ,however small, is a start. And your dad putting milk on his fingers for you to lick: if love alone could cure, you'd be all better already. But you need your food and medicine to be strong and healthy again. We wish your mum a very happy Mothers Day. She is an extraordinary person, Ginger Jasper. People of such kindness and gentleness are rare We believe the single bloom on the cactus is your grandmothers way of telling you that she is with you during this difficult time and to believe in your own wellness. Lots and lots of prayers for you.

I think for SURE that your one bloom is a sign from Grandma. We find our one from our grandma blooms at her birthday, and now it is very close to the anniversary of when she died 33 years ago. Our plant has been renewed by taking cutting several times, and it continues to be just lovely when it blooms.

GJ, I do hope you are going to get better. Purring here.
