Mixed today and a little update.......,

Hello everyone, a few mixed pictures for you today and a little update on mum. Mum is continuing to improve although not as fast as she would like. Dad keeps saying its early days yet and you only had surgery just a week ago today, so of course all those internal stitches will be hurting as they knit and pull tight. Of course mum knows this but it does not make it any the less frustrating.. I could teach mum how to just relax and chill if she would only listen mol.. Mum really appreciates all the good wishes and says it makes her feel better to read them, so a huge Thank you.....

Mum's friend from work came yesterday and gave mum these three lovely wooden kitties. They are made from very light wood and are really pretty. They were a belated birthday present from two friends and made mum smile ....
I got in on the shot... I had checked them out thoroughly and had whapped them down a few times, great fun...

What do you mean leave them standing, spoil sport..... Later kitties, later.....
A lot of loving cuddles going on here...
I climb up and mum hugs me really close...
Now a little light relief. Mum was sitting down to put me a post on and I of course climbed up to sit and snoopervise, between napping that is.. Dad realised that our reflection was good through the laptop and snagged these.
Not bad dad...
Thank you all so much again for the lovely comments for mum.. Love you all .... Hugs GJ xxx

We can understand that your mum would be frustrated, wanting to do more but not able to. Tell her to just take it easy and let your dad wait on her, let you nurse her. Let her body recover and heal properly!

The trio of striped kitties is adorable!

Continued purrs and universal Light from us!

Tell your mum to relax (easier said than done we know GJ) and go with the flow. She will be sore for a while until she is healed as good as new. The 3 kitties given to your mum are lovely and as they are tall we suspect very whapable although we have to say GJ we know you wouldn't dream of doing such a thing!!

We loved the reflected pictures, you and your Mum look lovely together all cozied up.

Hi GJ! Thanks for the update on your mom! We are glad she is improving but totally understand she is frustrated it isn't moving faster - all mom's are like that and want to rush getting well. Just be sure to sit on her a lot so she has to rest and relax (kitties on you is a very relaxing thing). Those wood kitties are very cool - and look very fun to whap! And we love all the pictures!

Still sending your mom lots of purrs and prayers!

The hardest part of being a patient is once things start to knit back to normal...everything is itchy and stretchy and pokey! but that means soon everything will be healed up and life will be wonderful again! Sit on her, GJ and keep her from doing too much too soon. We continue to send White Dog healing energy and positive thoughts.

Hey there GJ and Carol...
Thank you for the continuous updates. I think of you daily and know how frustrating a recovery period can be.
I believe that these times(where we are forcably immobilized) are designed for us to slow down, to simply 'be', to 'reflect' and to grow emotionally. They are special times where we are able to 'cherish' everything around us and find new strength.
Even in these times, we are able to 'seize the day'.
Hang in there, dear friend. With your kitty beside you, your special hubby and your amazing friends, you will emerge even stronger.
Sending lotsaluv

The look on your mum's face when you are cuddling her is so touching. Brings a tear to the eye, it does. It is very hard for people who are always active helping others to rest themselves and let others help them.We know that you'll remind your mum that taking care of herself now will determine how fast and successful her recovery will be. It has only been a week since major surgery. Open cases are much more painful than laparoscopic ones and no two cases are the same. Maybe you can teach her the fine, catly art of chillaxing! Our love to you, your mum and dad.
