Such a horrific tragedy. Our international news column in our paper actually mentioned several earthquakes in the Southeast yesterday. Our thoughts are with all those affected.

You are such a kind, thoughtful boy dear GJ. Its one of the largest quakes ever reported! We saw some of the horrific scenes of damage on the news. Too terrible. We join everyone in praying for the people of Japan and for all of the helpless animals who will suffer because of this tragedy. Our love to you.

Greetings,

I have been glued to the television all day watching the news from Japan with another eye on the California coast since I live in San Francisco and my daughter is in Santa Cruz.

I feel it will not be until Sunday that we will really see the extent of damage and my concern right now is for the nuclear facility and hoping it does not become another Chernobyl.

Warmest regards,
Miss Kitty and Egmont
