Today as we all know is a day for remembering.. For remembering all those that gave their lives for their country. Not only in the past wars but in wars going on now. I believe we should remember not just the one's who lost their lives but remember all our men and women that are at this moment in fear of their lives now. We have a day of remembrance that we call Poppy day to donate how all the fields were red with poppies. At the moment there are many things going on in schools and other agencies to show our children what happened all those years ago and to try and show them WHY we must REMEMBER them..

What a lovely heartfelt tribute, dear GJ. It is a day to honour and remember all of our men and women who served and especially those who gave their all. On this day, we think of how different our lives would have been without them.
P.S. We almost forgot our own Gram who was a nurse in the last years o the war.

My nephew is a Marine and has been there 2 times now. Each time you worry about them and all the brave men and woman serving the country.
That is a wonderful Tribute GJ. We never knew about the Poppy flower before today. Our Mom is always in some kine of fog. Anyway they are very pretty flowers. And it is so wonderful to remember all the people who have fought in wars for all of us. Take care and have a fun day.

I haven't seen much here about this, possibly because the govt is rewriting history to get rid of "inconvenient" heroes from various races.
