The big cat rescue...............

A few months ago there was two prides of lions in a zoo in Rumania, they were in very poor health, kept on concrete in a very confined space so their paws were so sore they could barley walk. The owners were trying and failing, they put out an appeal. A newly set up wildlife park just a short way from where we live stepped in and offered to try and save them. There started operation lion rescue. Lots of people helped. They had a huge site converted for them and after quarantine they were released in there a few weeks ago. Now very different lions to the one's that arrived. Healthy, happy and so content. Mum and dad went to check them out yesterday. Take a look at a few of them..

Take a look at this....
Look familiar MOL
Dont you just love a happy ending....

What an uplifting story. I wish all rundown zoos were closed and animals rehabilitated. There's a tonne of them in Asia.

Yes dear Ginger Jasper, like you, we love a happy ending.
The lions look wonderful! Muscular, sleek and healthy. And happy! Decidedly happy. England must be like heaven to these poor animals. The very life basics must seem like extraordinary treats: grass, room to roll and no cages. We can only imagine their joy!
And you are our very special little lion. You may not quite be king of jungle but you are the king of our hearts! We love you, dear.

Thank yoo for sharing this happy ending.

We just so wish that these beautiful creatures could be left in their own natural habitat though ~ safe from the egos and selfishness (and cruelty) of man. Then they wouldn't need rescuing. Sometimes mom is ashamed to be human when she sees what man can do.
