Today I had to go to the dreaded vet.. I said No.. wont but mum and dad said oh yes you will, its for your own good.. ( that's a matter of opinion. )
The vet was a lady vet and was very nice, she listened to my heart and lungs and did all the other vet check things.. She kept on saying I was a lovely boy and ohh so good. Then I got stuck with a Huge needle. I was still good. Then that lady vet looked in my mouth.. She said I had some soreness in my gums and around my teeth. Oh no I need to have some surgery.. I am scared now I don't want surgery. I have to wait 5 days after my injections and then have to get some antibiotics for several days. The lady vet said I was in really good shape for my age, but I have lost a little weight.. I hope I only have to have a scrape and polish and not teeth out
When I got back I had to wash and wash to get that V..E..T smell out of my furs..

Good to get a checkup and you won't mind the teeth cleaning at all, Phantom did it so it can't be too bad.

We have the same problem with Kirzon - he had to go on antibiotics and then will have to have his teeth cleaned - he hates it! But he has tooth issues so I bet it won't be nearly as bad for you!!
Oh no! We definitely would be scared about the 'surgery' word too!
We know you're brave and you'll have perfect teeth when you get home!

I hope you don't need actual surgery, too, and just a good cleaning. I know it's important for kitties to have good oral health, though. It affects everything else as well.
Dante has had gum problems before, but is doing much better now.

I hope the antibiotics do their job and you don't need surgery. I've had my teeth cleaned several times and I still have all my teeth.
Awww, Sweet GJ, of course surgery sounds frightening. But your mouth will be all better afterwards and nomming will be even more fun. Don't worry too much!

My cats can feel with you they all hate the vet, not the lady, she is very friendly and sweet but they don't appreciate what she does to them. If it's only your teeth, don't worry, Lisa started like this, and early this year she had her last teeth pulled out to avoid infections. She is 18 as you may know. But I can tell you she eats like a horse and can still bite you apparently cats get gums hard like teeth ! I asked the vet how she could eat without teeth, and she told me that. Otherwise street cats couldn't survive, which is true too !

Glad your vet says you are healthy. So sorry to hear that teeth cleaning is necessary but hopefully it will be quick and painless. It sounds much scarier that it really is, but I will send you strength and encouragement to help on that day.
That is exactly how we fell when we get back from the v-e-t.
