It is a bitter sweet day today. Mum is happy that it is mothers day but very sad as her mum died in November and is not here for mothers day.Also on this date three years ago grandad died too. I think the first of every occasion is sad and I hope it does get better. M.um had leaky eyes quite a bit today
The lovely Ann at zoolatry did us a beautiful memory picture, mum dad, grandma and grandad, with me looking down at them. So very beautiful. Mum and dad took a lovely miniature rose bush to the crematorium and tucked a small copy of the picture into its leaves. The large picture is in a frame.

I really like the photo where you can see the large "M" on your forehead. There are lots of legends about the "M" on tabby-marked kitties. But, for today, in view of your post, I think the "M" may be for Memories.
Happy mothers day to your mum. My mum buys herself something nice on mothers day to remember her mum. A small bunch of flowers, candles, a book or a piece of jewellery. Her mum would want her to do something nice for herself to make her smile.
We know your grandma will be looking down at your mum and loving those beautiful roses.

The PM lost her Grammie last August and her mom is having a very hard time welcoming Spring this year without her mom here to enjoy the new green too.
