Mum has been at work on the early shift today and then tried to tidy the yard of old plants ready for putting in new. I was up snoopervising and right near where I was lying yesterday mum cleared out a hanging basket. guess what she pulled out !!! A birds egg.!!! Mum was upset that she broke it, but couldn't believe that a bird would nest in a basket at eye height to me. But how did it get there. A mystery.
Mum says she hopes you not fed up with all the pics of me, but a few more from yesterday as dad took loads.

Who could get tired of pictures of you? That bird's nest must have been brand new. We usually get a few, but Dad tries to deter the nests so that the eggs don't get abandoned once the birds realize they nested in a high traffic area, like the front porch.

I could never get enough pictures of you! My mom has a birdhouse on our front porch that she bought for decoration and we have had baby birds in there every year, twice a year. Mom tries to shoo away any stray cats that come near it, but I hear them from inside.
