It’s a long time since I came to my blog. Time moves on and personal reasons change the way we communicate. I spent many years blogging with my beloved GJ and met so many wonderful blog friends in person both here in the U.K. and around the world. One such friend that began with being blog friends is Jackie and her dear husband Ivor. Way back in 2008 we became firstly blog friends and then to being best friends. They visited us here and we went down to their Devon home to stay almost every year. We visited so many wonderful places with them, we shared life’s ups and life’s downs. We were there every step of the way throughout Jackie’s illness. We sat in their beautiful garden and toasted 5 years free from the cancer. But it came back. We were there throughout the fight and the dreadful treatment that took such an awful toll. Throughout it all Jackie took such comfort from all the support she got from blog friends. I was there with her reading all the cards of support that came from around the world. We read them together and I could see how they helped. Every milestone, every birthday, every loss every cruise memory we shared every memory . I will treasure them all. Yesterday Jackie lost her fight. Ivor lost his wife and best friend, the only girl he ever had right from school. A lifetime together. we lost a very dear friend and the blogosphere lost a wonderful person. Non of us expected it to happen so soon but it did and took Jackie far too soon. Jackie you are now free from all the pain and you are back with your beloved Eric and Flynn who I know will have been there to meet you. You will be so missed by so many. Rest easy now. Lots of love.

We are so sad to hear about Jackie. We loved reading her blog and sharing in her stories and then memories of Eric and Flynn. We watched your friendship bloom through posts on Facebook and we send our deepest condolences to you, your husband, and to Ivor.

We're so sad about Jackie's passing. She has always been such a good friend to so many of us, and will be missed and loved always. Sending much love and prayers of comfort to Ivor.
It was such a terrible tragedy. Jackie was so kind and so brave.
