But mum......I had to.......

Hi everyone.. I don't know if I told you before but I never get onto the kitchen worktops. From a kitten mum said no that's not allowed and I never have. So today mum was so amazed to see this....
I had spotted a flying creature that had come in from outside and just had to give chase....
                                                        Licking my lips in anticipation...
                                                            I can see you....
Oh hello mum I am just .. Oops...
Just hang on while I catch this thing....
Oh OK I am getting down... Spoilsport....
                                                    Love and hugs to all..
                                                               GJ xxxx

GJ - at your age, you have the right to break the rules once in a while. Hope you have better luck next time. Just wait for Mum to leave for work.

Noooo! The kichen work top is the best place to wipe your feets when you've been out in the garden.

Since you haven't been on the counter in years and years and years, I'm sure your mum understood the extenuating circumstances.

But that is definitely the Flying Creature Exception to the Rule. Our Mom wishes Audrey were so good at following rules as you are, GJ. She is always on the kitchen counters.

Oh GJ, at this point you should be allowed up there. What is wrong with that Mom. After all you were trying to catch that wild varmit.
That last picture of you is the very best. We love those eyes. Take care and have a super week end.

GJ, you're the kitty - YOU are supposed to make the rules! And one important rule is that if there is a flying creature to be caught, all surfaces, flat and otherwise, are fair game!

Rules? What are rules? There certainly aren't any rules when it comes to catching flying creatures! We just love your sweet face in that last photo Jasper!

Well, of course you had to get up there to catch that creature. What did your mum expect??

There should be exemptions for chasing flying things. If THEY dont have to stay down near the floor, neither should you!

GJ how in the WORLD could you be expected to resist? NO WAY!

Look at those big, bright eyes! You certainly loved giving chase didn't you! Like Simba said , there is a Flying Creature Exception Rule that let's a kitty go wherever he wants when he's in persuit of said creatures. You are a perfect little boy in every way, sweetheart. Enjoy your weekend and all the fun that is to be had.

We aren't allowed on the worktop either GJ. In theory we nod and promise to be good and while Mum has her back turned we leap up and walk all over it again - well it keeps her busy washing the tops down. If you fancy a rest let us know and we'll teleport over so she keeps getting plenty of practice!

It is not like you were just napping on the countertop...you were WORKING to PROTECT mum and dad from an INTRUDER!

We are curious what that flying creature was! Did your mommy swat it for you?

I learned today one of the kitties in the FIV house at the no-kill shelter is an excellent fly catcher. He loves those little morsels!

Hehehe, Ginger Jasper, sometimes you have to be a little naughty. Keep your mum and dad on their toes! No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
