Thankful today and every day....

Hello everyone.. Mum was checking some of our friends blogs and saw that today there are a lot of posts on thankful Thursday. Now mum gets mixed up with the regular days for posting so rarely do we get it right. Mum got to thinking that we are so lucky and that there are so many that are not. Mum has had a silly down head on that she gets sometimes and every small hill feels like a mountain. A lot of you will know that feeling and that it is so hard to shake it off.But mum feels so bad about that when there is so much sadness around. we wanted to say that we have so much to be thankful for. warm loving home, beautiful children and grand children and great grandchildren. A job when so many have none and even though the health has not been good its not too bad now. Plus we have all our blog friends.. So mum wanted to say yes it is thankful Thursday and thankful everyday.... Hugs GJ xxx

Very well said, GJ. My mom tends to let things get to her, too, and it's nice to be reminded of the things we should be thankful for.

Aww, hugs and kissies to you and your Mum and Dad, GJ. Even when there is lots to be positive about, sometimes it is still hard to rise above the bad or sad or worrying things in our lives. That's what Mom says. So we all understand.

It is well said, but sometimes, for those of us who struggle with the spectre of depression, knowing we have a lot to be thankful for but not really feeling it makes us feel worse. Well, that's been the mom's experience. Guilt that she feels how she does, even though it's "just" brain chemistry.

So we hope your mum doesn't feel guilty about whatever her moods are, because they are what they are and moods aren't your mum's Self, her Being, if you know what we mean.

(((Hugs)))

Hello Ginger Jasper, yes sometimes mums and dads feel a bit down but that's when we four legged friends give them more kisses, slobbers and be just a little bit more naughty hehehe. Takes their mind off things. Have a great weekend. No worries (specially for you) and love, Stella and Rory

My human has days like yours does sometimes, and she feels really dumb because she knows she is way better off than so many others! And I guess I'm the same way. When I get pilled, I think my life is terrible and I totally forget about all the awesomeness I have.

Well said GJ. We are thankful too for all our friends and all we have, when there is so much suffering in the world. We are particularly thankful that our mum had good news earlier in the week.
We hope your mum's down days get better.

GJ, our mom says we all get down at times...and it's helpful to remember how good we do have it. We're so thankful we have you and your mum as friends.

I think you have something truly to be thankful for and that is Liam. Sounds like he is getter better day by day. That is something great to hear. We purrs and prays his surgery will be a great success. And yes, it is getting quite sad globally and we should be grateful and thankful even for the little things we have.

As you put head to pillow, each and every night, count your blessings.
In spite of thunder and cloudy days, the sun always shines again.
For each of us, there is always
reason for giving thanks, we only need to look for it.

Simba said it best, Even when there is lots to be positive about, it's hard to get out from under the bad or sad things.
Mum says sometimes all of our woes get together and gang up on us! But we try to fight back by finding things to be thankful for: like a certain fluffy ginger boy, with sparkling eyes, a delightful personality and a gentle heart. A bouyant soul who never fails to lift out spirits.. We're thankful for you.
