Grandma's Christmas cactus flwered early for her before she died. It then flowered again for mum. This year it flowered early in time for the aniversary of her dying...
Flowering early.....
But mum's Christmas cactus only ever flowers a few blossoms, this year it too has flowered early and as well flowered a lot....
In time for the date and so many blossoms
My friends... Milo and Alfie 's mum sent mum this poem in an email. Mum thought it was so lovely and was leaky eyed.. If Roses grow in Heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for me, Place them in my Mother's arms And tell her they're from me. Tell her I love her and miss her, And when she turns to smile, Place a kiss upon her cheek And hold her for awhile. Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, But there's an ache within my heart Because I am missing her today.

What a beautiful poem, our Mom says she will say it for her own mother too. Your Christmas cactus is beautiful. Our mom's grandmother had one that she passed on to one of her daughters. She in turn make cuttings of it for the whole family. They all bloomed for years and years, Mom so wishes she still had one of the originals.
Tell mum that we are thinking of her today and hope that she will smile as she remembers all of the wonderful memories she carries in her heart.

We understand how very hard it is. Our mum's mum died on the 3rd of November four years ago.

We're sorry your mom is sad on the anniversary of her mom's passing. It's good she has happy memories of her. The cactus blossoms are so pretty.
Oh GJ please give your mom a big hug for us! We remember how hard it was the first year after my mom passed - it is very hard. We recommend doing something to celebrate her - for us we went to my moms favorite restaurant and all had a margarita, which she loved. Even if it is a small gesture like this it really does seem to help. I know she has heard it a thousand times but it will get easier. It never fully leaves but it does hurt less.
That poem brought tears to my eyes and I agree with Kool Kitty,she is there!

That is a lovely poem.
Our mum has got an old fashioned cottage rose bush that her mother grew from a cutting and gave her. She had it for about ten years and it grew and grew, but never flowered. Then her mother died, and the next year it was covered in flowers. It has flowered ever since.

I am sorry to hear that your mom is sad today. Through the tears my mom is typing for me. She know how your mom is feeling as she too lost her mom four years ago summer. As time passes you just miss them more.

Sorry to hear about your mums mum. We think though she was lucky to have died at home and to have lived a good long life.
