A very belated post...

I was very remiss because I am so very busy at work. I didn't post for international box day. Our woofie friend Khyra today reminded me of fun we had back in 2009 when GJ was sent to her for that day. I have shown you the pictures from then.
Khyra saw the box
GJ getting ready to go..
Ready for coming back..

We are so very short staffed at work with illness and holidays that I never seem to be away. I am only dipping in the internet for short periods to check things from the kids etc. I know I am missing so much and for that I am sorry. I left the house on Wednesday at 7:30 am and came in briefly at 4:45 which turned out to be only ten minutes before getting called out and didn't return until 22:10. Thankfully didn't get a call out in the night but was woken very early with a headache from hell. I have never experienced one like it and hope I don't again. Maybe tiredness or the way I had to struggle to lift a patient, not sure but it knocked me for six. On late shift and on call all weekend so will not be on the internet much but we are going to Holy Island on Tuesday so a little relaxation to look forward to.
Sorry for the moan but hey it helps sometimes.
Hope you enjoyed the little GJ flash back. I did a lot

All is blooming...

Because of one thing and another we were late planting out the baskets and tubs in the yard but with lots of rain and the occasional day of sun they are blooming lovely now.

I tried to capture a few at night but not very well. We have lots and lots of solar lights and at night they are so pretty. This gorgeous little kitty is a solar light and came just last week. I got her from the animal rescue site in the US and its good that it also helps a rescue too. I love it.

This fuchsia just keeps getting bigger and bigger
Jasper used to spend so much time hiding and peeping behind here. I look up and expect to see him.
My yellow rose is blooming now too.
                                       A bonus when I finished  a night shift . A glorious sunrise..

Eric and Flynn peeping behind mums hydrangea..

Jasper's memory stone sat where he used to sit in his barrow and next to the little dog he sat against.
I saw this cheeky chappy and thought he would look great on the wall. He does and he is solar too and his hat lights up.

They just keep on growing and I cant wait to See how big the flowers will be.

This chap paid a visit and stayed ages. He wouldn't have lasted so long at one time.
We just have a yard and not a big garden but  love how pretty it looks in the summer.
Hope you enjoyed a little look around.

Father's Day.....

Today is Father's Day and I just wanted to say Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. My dad is at the bridge andI think of him every day and send him love. Jasper will be there to give him love and hugs too. Barrie misses having  Jasper hugs and love. I just want to wish all the dads both here and at the bridge a very happy Father's Day.
                                 Much love to all

Another 40's event..

This weekend we had another 1940's event. Saturday we had a lot of rain and got rather soggy but we didn't let it spoil the day and had a lot of fun meeting with friends.
I see this little old gent at lots of events and although he is getting on in years he takes everything in his stride.
                                                   A little fun and games..
                                            A little soggy but smiling

Sunday was a much better day with sunshine for the most part.
Nugget always gets cuddles and loves them..
Coco lets me hold for a while but doesn't do hugs as much..
Look what I found. The most adorable 9 week hold Rotti and he was adorable. His name is Chop..
He was gorgeous and I got lots of hugs
                                                Barrie and a friend.

                                       Waiting to start the parade.
Quite a few emotional moments with veterans but they enjoy our reenactments.
We had a great time, met lots of lovely people and rain didn't stop play. Back to the grindstone now with a week of nights approaching on Tuesday.
                                  Take care everyone    Carol x

A little graduate, A birthday, and a registration.......

We received some photographs in the post and we love them. We have never seen this happening before and think it is lovely. Leon leaves nursery at the end of term and will go to big school. His nursery had a graduation ceremony with photo's. How precious and look at his smile.

Today its Tristan's birthday. Happy Birthday son.. xxx
Today Layton Brian was registered and his name is official.
I seem to be having all sorts of trouble leaving comments lately. I comment on friends blogs and later when I go to my e mail I find lots of mail return mails in my spam saying unable to post. Not sure what's happening.
                        Hope everyone is well.   Hugs

Goodbye to my Auntie ......

Today was the funeral of my Auntie May. My Auntie May was my mum's sister and has been a big part of my life. When I was away with the army she came to stay with me. In my schoolgirl days I stayed with her all the summer holidays. There were a great many memories shared today and she had a good send off. Auntie May was 90 years young and had a good life. Wherever I was I had a birthday and Christmas card, 63 cards. I will miss that card dropping on the mat. I have so many memories.  I  asked her today to give my mum a hug up there in heaven. Rest in peace Auntie May you will be missed.
