A few cats of Malta......

Hello everyone. I thought you might like to see a few of the gorgeous kitties we saw in Malta...

This little one was in Mdina and sat on his doorstep watching me..

I so watched this fella for so long and he let me scritch him while he was lazing in his sun puddle...

When he rolled over and did this we both melted and you can imagine what we were thinking cant you..
These were the fabulous streets of Mdina...
Look how  narrow they where and so full of old world charm...
The next Kitties  were in Valletta which we so loved..
This is a fishing community which is either not used in winter or abandoned. Right on the water edge.
Barrie spotted this one watching us taking photo's..
He was so interested in what we were doing..
This one said hi what are you up to with your flashy boxes...
                                        He watched for a while..
This one never woke but just snoozed on...
After watching us he decided to have a bath..
So relaxed and we didn't faze him at all, in fact all were so not worried about us..
Barrie spotted this little girl or maybe she spotted him..
                                           Another sleepy head..
I got a turn at petting...
                                               Cute nose...
This one seemed to say hey did you see me...
I nearly missed this little one..
All the shacks were probably where they slept in bad weather..

I thought they were all healthy looking and looked well fed and too relaxed around people to be totally feral. I was told later that the cats around Malta do get fed and I believe there is a TNR program too.
Now this is Meow who wondered into a aviation museum and found himself a wonderful forever home, he has a warm sofa bed to sleep on, plenty of food and lots of attention. The visitors love him too and he loves them.
What a love bug he is..

He just loves people.. Was happy to pose too.
There was a ginger there that came to stay and also found a good home but he didn't want to come out and preferred to stay away from visitors so no pictures.
This is Watson who also got a home there, he mobbed me and just loved a fuss. He was fastened up and I asked about that and was assured that it was only while he was at the front of the hut and so that he didn't run under a vehicle while they were busy. I could see how happy he was and that he was also a love bug.

We took lots of pictures in Malta of the lovely old buildings ETC and will show you some later. I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the kitties we saw.
Back to the grindstone tomorrow with late shifts all weekend.
Take care everyone. Hugs Carol xx

Robins everywhere.....

You will probably remember that my mum loved robins and that carried through to me.At Christmas I was given lots of things with robins on.
Tristan, Sue and the girls got me a lovely scarf which is really soft. Its big and could be used as a wrap. I wear it a lot everyday to brighten the day...

Barrie got me this little one as a stocking filler,,
He is a little box and opens up..
He was from a little antique shop in York and is so sweet..
The spoon rest was from Tristan and Sue and the girls too.
                                                And this
A matching mug. I love them and even though a snow scene I use everyday as I love them and  think they brighten the kitchen so.
Our boy is now framed and on the wall..
There are so many friends not feeling well at the moment. I send love and you are all in my thoughts..;....  Love and hugs to all. Carol xx

The holiday kitties........

Usually wherever we go on holiday there are lots of kitties and I do worry about them on many occasions. That's why I was so pleased when we were in Lanzarote a few weeks ago to see how well and happy the kitties there were.
In the afternoon they were all snoozing happily and had no fear..

                                         So content...

This little one came down to say hello...
We saw lots of evidence that someone feeds them regularly..

We saw kitties stalking these but having no luck...

                                            Stalking....

But there were families of ducks just a few feet from the sleeping  kitties who seemed to come to no harm..

They must have plenty of food and water and don't need to chase the ducks thankfully..
This one was always on the wall when we took our evening walk and always wanted petting and would roll over for his tummy tickling..

They all looked healthy and happy and content and I was so grateful for that..

I am sorry if I came across as negative in my last post. I miss blogging about Jasper so much and I want to keep on blogging. The last thing I want is for you all to think I am a moaner and not come and visit. I suppose it was a mixture of tiredness and being a bit down. Sorry for that. I am on late shifts just now and although on call for the night shift when I finish at 11:00 am not nearly as tired.   I do appreciate all our blog friends.. Love and hugs Carol xxx
