Look who came to visit.......

You will never guess what happened today. My good friend Nellie is on a run away tour and is in the UK at the moment. Nellie went to see Speedy who has just had eye surgery and decided she could fit in a quick visit to see me. I was so pleased and watched out of my window waiting for her.
Here she is now..  Hello Nellie...... I am so happy to see you...
Nellie had a drink of cool cat milk to refresh after her journey and nibbled on some prawns and fresh salmon. We the walked in my yard and I showed her my lovely flowers..  We sat and just chatted about all our friends and before we knew it was time for Nellie to be on her way. We had so enjoyed the visit..  Safe journey Nellie... Come back soon...
You can read all about Nellie's journey Here Pop over and see it all..

My vet visit for today..The vet checked me over and listened to what mum had to say. The diagnosis is definitely dementia and when mum asked was I in pain he said in his opinion  no I wasn't at all it was just the dementia that was making me yell out. The medicine is helping somewhat and I am using the new litter tray near the door and ignoring all the other one's. Mum and dad discussed the options with the vet and they said so long as I was happy and so long I had quality of life  and no pain then they would keep on with what we are doing with the meds and just let me plod on and enjoy life  as I want. Quality of life is the utmost important thing.

Love and hugs to everyone.. GJ xx

So relaxed.........

Hello everyone.. Mum thought you might like these photo's.. I am taking another tablet to help my head and when I first take it I am relaxed and a little sleepy. Mum had just cleaned the windows and the blinds were right back. I took advantage to have a snooze in a lovely sun puddle. mum laughed when she saw me because I was fast asleep and she said so cute...

                                      Did someone say something..
Now for a little update. I am taking the new tablets and mum has bought three new trays and I have them all over the place. I am using the one near the back door and I look at it as if to say oh a tray I will use this one. I have still had a couple of accidents but not many at all so far.. I am still making the crying noise which mum says is disconcerting but she doesn't think I am in pain as I do look puzzled. I go back to the vets on Wednesday tea time so we will see what he says then.. Love and hugs to all.. GJ xx

Trials and tribulations....

Hi everyone. well its been quite a day today. mum and dad picked up some special litter from the vet that is small plastic beads and it lets the urine fall to the bottom to enable a sample to be collected. They also got the new medication too. all the trays were taken up and this one put down with the collection litter in. The vet said I would use it when I had to go, mum and dad where more sceptical. I walked around and meowed and walked around and meowed some more. I looked at the tray and walked away. To cut a long story short I just went all over another part of the carpet and soaked it. Mum bought three new trays and we have put them all over the place. We had to give up the idea of getting a sample because I just wont use the litter. I have had the new tablets today and lets see if they help at all with my mind.
We are trying everything to help me and will also try those puppy pads that people mention and see if they help. The worst thing is the awful noise I make because mum worries that I hurt somewhere.
Sorry for off loading all this but sometimes it helps to talk.
Mum starts a few days on the dreaded early shift tomorrow so we may hot get a lot of blogging in but het we are catching up with comments the last few days.
As we write this it has started pouring with rain, it is very heavy and I can hear thunder rumbling. I am not scared of the thunder though and like to sit and watch the rain.
Love to all my friends.  Hugs GJ x

At the vets today....

Hi everyone.. Today I was at the vet to get poked and prodded. At least today they didn't steal my bloods, They are going to do more tests and we are to pick up a special litter tomorrow that allows us to capture a sample of urine. Apparently the litter lets the urine run to the bottom and you can collect it in a bottle. They are going to test for infections etc just in case. That is just one possibility that has to be ruled out but it seems there may be another possibility that is more likely. As well as weeing everywhere I am making the most awful loud meowing noise which mum thought meant I was in pain. I am unsteady on jumping up and I do sleep a lot more than usual. I also just look so perturbed and am disorientated. The vet thinks maybe it could be senility setting in.

                               Today after I got back

Every time mum and dad some carpet sort of sorted out there is another spot. Today I was in the yard and walked in to the living room and just stopped and went. Mum and dad are convinced I don't realise and cant help it. We are getting more litter trays tomorrow and will try and squeeze them in around the place although we have only a very tiny house. I am trying another tablet that is meant to help brain activity. We pick everything up tomorrow so will see how things go then.
Paws crossed it all helps.. I hope all my friends are ok.
Love and hugs to all.. GJ xx

Flat Jasper went too...

Hi everyone.. They are back from Dublin.. Flat Jasper went along too and here are a few pictures of his trip...                               On the way to the airport a lovely sunrise...
Helping dad decide where to go first...
                                               Come on hurry and decide...
A drink of Guinness the first night. Tired but happy...
In the streets of the city where the girls are so pretty sang Mollie Malone..
She pushed her wheel barrow down streets broad and narrow singing cockles and mussels alive alive oh..
                                                Coffee break at the cathedral...
In St Patricks the staff where very amused at flat Jasper...
Mum and dad and flat jasper met a really lovely couple from Conneticut USA. Tom and Bleu ( isn't Bleu a lovely name ) They had two stuffies with them and they have travelled with them all around the world for 30 years. The staff I think thought we were all a little mad. But just no not at all just fun loving.
Up high in the leprechaun experience..
The chairs were oh so huge...
We look so tiny in the armchair..

We even fitted under the chair..
                                             Oh dear.. silly antics..

The lady who works there loved flat Jasper and thought the idea of him travelling around was brilliant..
She wanted to pose with flat Jasper..
Now on to how I was.. I ate really well for Tristan, Sue and the girls. But I did make a smelly carpet as I still went out of the box.. So today back to the drawing board trying to get rid of the urine smell..    While I was gone there has been sadness around the blogs with my woofie pal Quinn from The White dog army leaving for the bridge. Run free sweet Quinn you were very loved in your forever home.  I send purrs and love to your family. Smokey from 40 paws is very ill and I send him purrs and love too. I hope everyone else is ok. I send purrs and love to all.xx
I just realised today is black cat appreciation day. My cousin Azzie is a magnificent black cat who also started off as a stray before he arrived at Tristan, Sue, Mollie and Lilli's house. Despite there was two huge Rottweiler's Ben and Millie living there he decided this was were he was going to live and he of course does and is very loved..
Love and hugs to all.. GJ xx

I am shouting because they are leaving me for two whole nights. Mum and dad are going to Dublin in the morning and are leaving me at home. Tristan, Sue and the  girls will be coming  to see me lots and will take good care of me. I have promised to be good and not to let mum and dad worry so paws crossed.
See you all in a couple of days.. Love and hugs GJ xx

That darn flashy box.......

There I was having a bath when the darn flashy box appeared...

                                                         Did you want something....
                                                     Take that....
Mum was out in the night on call and on the way home a beautiful sun rise...

The baskets and tubs in the yard keep on flowering and getting bigger.
Mum loves looking out of the window or when possible sitting in the yard among them...

This basket reaches almost to the floor..

The tumbling tomato is just turning the tiny tomatoes red. See the first one..

Hope everyone is well.. Hugs GJ xx
