Mum says thank you to all my friends......

Mum says thank you so much to all my friends, she is so touched with all the lovely comments and says the blog community rocks. Mum and dad go on holiday very early in the morning ( Middle of the night ) I am at the cat hotel. It is a new one and the people are really lovely. The other one had really nice people but a lot of woofies barking which mum thought may upset me. This one has no woofies. The people are going to text mum with updates on me so that helped mum not to worry as much. ( she still will though ) Mum has made a flat Jasper of sorts and will try and get some pictures and post if possible along the way. I am keeping a look out for any of my friends that may drop in..

They could come from up here......
Or this way......
Which ever way my friends are always welcome here...
Take care and see you all soon....... With all my love GJ xxxxxx

Thank you Ann for my lovely header....

Relaxation and catoga......

Hello my friends... Mum has been having physio and lots of pain medicine to try and get her neck a lot better. Mum was sad that this happened at this time because she has a lot to do both at work and at home. Work has been very difficult because of the nature of the job. Mum has been fighting the pain and been in tears sometimes... Another reason is because mum and dad are going away on holiday on Thursday and mum wanted to do posts for me and visit all my friends, it has made mum sad because she couldn't do this. . Hopefully a few tonight and a few tomorrow.. If the stoopid neck allows. It has really been ( Still is ) worrying mum because she was afraid it would spoil the holiday and she really needs this.. ( It was helping someone at work that made it hurt more ) Me I have been practicing my catoga and relaxing.. Dad has been trying to help mum a lot and telling her to stop worrying.. ( That's like telling a fairy not to fly )

Mum is taking her notebook with her and will be able to see whats happening with Friends a little. also she has tried to make a flat Jasper( badly ) so she can perhaps put a few pictures on while she is away.. I hope so.. Bear with us friends please and don't go away... With love Jasper xxxx

A bath in the sun...... Plus Thanks.....

I had a lovely sun puddle and decided to have a little wash.. Of course who was there with the flashy box.. Sheesh .. Is there no privacy......

Another one from my bush hidey place...

Mum was very touched by all the lovely comments yesterday and would like to say thank you so much to everyone.. Mum does work a lot of hours and gets called out a lot but it a rewarding job and things like this make it so worthwhile. Even just the everyday jobs which include many people falling means that those people get to stay in their own homes for much longer than they could without the response team. That has to be good. Thank you so much to all my friends for making mums day with the lovely comments. Love GJ xx

Nights for next four nights so its dad and me.....

Proud of mum.................................

Hello everyone. Dad and I wanted to show you this clipping that was in our paper last week..

This was the artical from the paper:

Care Link saved my life
A disabled pensioner from Featherstone says he wouldn’t be alive today if it wasn’t for the quick response of Wakefield and District Housing’s (WDH) Care Link service.
Mr.... 78, suffered a fall at his home on Huntwick Drive earlier this month and was kept alive by a WDH support worker until the paramedics arrived.
He said: “If it wasn’t for Care Link I wouldn’t be here today. They saved my life.”
As an amputee and a recovering patient of a recent tracheotomy, Mr English signed up for the service when he moved into WDH’s Huntwick Centre Independent Living Scheme in March.
He was able to press a button on a pendant that he wore round his neck to alert Care Link staff that there was an emergency.
Care Link operator Marie Hoaksey took the call and was able to communicate with Mr English through a special speech unit that was installed in his home.
“I could see from his details that he had had a tracheotomy and would struggle to communicate,” says Marie, “so I asked him to bang on the floor if he could hear me, and if he needed help.
“Once we established it was an emergency I put in a call to my colleague Carol Pugh, who was able to get round to the property and help him.”
Carol, a former nurse and Care Link employee for 19 years, said her extensive first aid training taught her to keep Mr English’s airways clear and make him as comfortable as possible until an ambulance arrived.
“When I got there he was panicking and in real need of help,” recalls Carol. “His airway was compromised and two minutes before the paramedics arrived he actually stopped breathing.
“It was touch and go but I worked with the paramedics to get him breathing again and then he was taken off to Pontefract General Infirmary.”
Both Marie and Carol say that while the case of Mr ... is a rare one, the team is always prepared for such instances if they occur.
Carol said: “Care Link helps people every day – not all events are like this – but our efforts to help people following accidents at home has meant ambulance calls have reduced locally.
The job is so rewarding. Each day is different, and the satisfaction you get from knowing you’ve helped people – even saved their life – makes you very proud.”
Care Link celebrated its 20th anniversary in February 2010 and currently supports over 15,500 people across the Wakefield district.

Mum was not going to put this article on the blog but dad and I said she should because we are proud of mum and what she did....

My hidey place...

I was in my yard when mum said where is Jasper. Dad said he is just on the seat in the sun. ....I wasn't.. Mum panicked because I never move away from the yards....but when dad looked behind the garage he shouted to mum to bring the flashy box... Dad had spotted something orange in the bush....
Can you spot me....( bigify )

It was great and I had lots of fun chasing spiders.....
Spotted... Mum zoomed in on me.....
Closer still...
That's enough... Back to the spiders....
